Wonderfully Made

You are unique and wonderfully made. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

“You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works.”—Psalm 139:13–14 

God has created each of us, and He knows everything about us! Every detail of our history. Every thought and action. Our sins and mistakes. He created our “innermost thoughts” and knit us together in our mother’s womb.

He knows our decisions, both right and wrong. He knows what we faced when we made those decisions and why we made them. He knows what influences us.

Truly we are “awesomely and wonderfully made.” This is the miracle of creation. He did not just create the world. He has been involved with each person since before we were conceived!

But what is even more amazing is that He cares about each of us. He loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us, so we could be forgiven of all our sins!

We might be discouraged, worried, afraid, or wondering if there is any hope. At these times, our thoughts should turn to the phenomenal promises of this psalm. Remember, His works are wonderful, and He will work everything out, even things we do not understand.

We should know these truths “very well” with total confidence (v. 14)!

As you draw near to God in prayer, trust in Him to reveal more of His plans and purposes for you. As you rest in Him, let Him deliver you from fear and worry. Let Him encourage you. He has a plan for your life, and His ways are always right.
